Today is a very busy day for the Stewart's between Valentine's parties and gymnastics, so I am going to try to keep this short and sweet. Today marks sixteen months since I have held my sweet ornery boy, seen his beautiful smile, or heard his laughter. I have shared with you before about people that "get it", so today I want to acknowledge Hayden's class. They get it. I am always amazed at how thoughtful they are. Last year on Valentine's they brought me a homemade cookie and balloon from the annual school fundraiser. It was the sweetest and most thoughtful gesture and this morning I unexpectedly received another. I am so grateful and proud of them, and most importantly I know that Hayden is. I can hear him say, "Thanks Guys.". His class and many of his friends have incorporated Hayden and his memory into many different moments over the last sixteen months. Some of those moments are just as simple as sharing a silly video they had on their phone with Lushon or Toy, or big moments like including him in their door decorations Homecoming week. For those moments I am so incredibly grateful. Our biggest fear is always that his mark on this life will be forgotten, or that no one understands how much we miss him. So thank you for reminding us that you do. It means more than you will ever know!
